As urban density increases and space for personal vehicles shrinks, carsharing is emerging as a practical solution. The global carsharing market is projected to reach over $9 billion by 2030, driven by rising awareness of transportation's environmental impact, the need to reduce carbon emissions, and a growing preference for flexible, on-demand mobility.

Additionally, carsharing is becoming a core element of Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS), enhancing its appeal by integrating into broader urban transit systems. Specialized markets, from airport carsharing to luxury options, are also playing a part in the sector’s growth.

NECTURE has been contributing to the market's growth for years, collaborating with carsharing clients across Europe and the Americas, servicing about 16.000 vehicles, including 5.000 EVs.

We collaborate closely with our clients, piloting and integrating our services, continuously monitoring the fast-paced shared mobility landscape and day-to-day challenges in the urban environment.

Wondering how we do it and achieve success together?

Shared Cars Where They’re Needed Most

At NECTURE, we’ve developed Automated Rebalancing, an advanced fleet rebalancing solution to optimize carsharing fleets within cities. By leveraging automated demand prediction and idle-time rebalancing, we ensure that vehicles are always in the right place at the right time, boosting fleet utilization.

Carsharing members are hesitant to walk more than 350m to find a car, with Automated Rebalancing cars are where they are needed and booked most.

Our system excels in handling key challenges like airport relocations and intercity rebalancing, powered by our StreetCrowd, a community-driven operations team that helps operations teams manage capacity-constrained or time-challenged resources.

With NECTURE’s solution, our 15 managed fleets have seen a up to 35% increase in revenue, and individual vehicles have gained between 2-4 additional trips, driving a remarkable 250-300% ROI.

Airports In Constant Movement

Airports often face overcrowded parking and logistical challenges, while carsharing operators struggle with fines and high costs to relocate vehicles back to the city.

NECTURE’s Airport Service tackles these issues by engaging our StreetCrowd community to efficiently move cars from airports back to the cities and urban areas or even relocate cars within different parking zones of the airport.

We are also able to focus on peak travel seasons, such as summer and Christmas when demand is high.

On average, 50-60 cars were relocated daily from a German airport, significantly reducing operational strain and parking fines for the carsharing operator, while improving the airport parking area management.

The costs resulting from these relocations depend on the distance between the airport and the city, as well as the number of cars moved each day, but a balanced fleet still means increasing revenue.

A very unique solution was recently found with one of our clients.

Due to the low or non-existent GPS signal within the underground parking at an airport, which challenged the visibility of cars in the system, the cars were moved outside the airport area by the client’s operations team.

Afterwards the cars were picked up by our StreetCrowd members and relocated to hot zones (zones of high demand) in the city. Together, we achieved a total of 239 cars being relocated this way in one month.

From solving complex problems, like airport logistics, to collaborative rebalancing strategies, NECTURE remains committed to driving the future of shared mobility. NECTURE empowers businesses to unlock the full potential of fleets, seamlessly bridging the gap between mobility and energy.

NECTURE is building a world where electric fleets are not only possible but thrive.
